Aumsville

Located in the Willamette Valley approximately nine miles east of Salem, Aumsville is known as the home of the Annual Corn Festival and “a great place to live.”

Aumsville is dedicated to its community members and its rich history. If you’ve ever dug around your property here, you might have found arrowheads. These came from the native Calapooia tribe who were here before our European ancestors came to the Willamette Valley to trap animals for furs, to trade, or farm.

Aumsville provides several parks and fun ongoing activities for citizens to take part in. The Saturday Markets in Tower Park put a spotlight on local farms and agriculture. Started in 2011 by Laurie Kennedy, Saturday Markets showcase between 12 and 17 vendors throughout the season and raise money for city summer programs.

The Corn Festival provides local and surrounding community members with a day of outdoor family entertainment, and a chance to give back to the community through donations and fundraising opportunities. If you want to take part in this event as a vendor, parade member, or entertainment, see the City website.
